Single Sign-On Now Available with Microsoft and Google
For some time now, clients have asked for the ability to log into Vueterix using their existing Microsoft or Google accounts instead of managing separate credentials. That option is now available across the platform.
Users can now authenticate through Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace alongside the standard username and password method. This gives teams flexibility in how they access the platform while maintaining the security standards required for handling sensitive appraisal data.
Account Linking and Security
When a user logs in via SSO for the first time, Vueterix performs a one-time verification step to securely link their external account to their existing Vueterix account. This requires confirming the account password before the link is established.
This is intentional, not friction.
Why we verify account ownership:
If an external email account is compromised through phishing, credential stuffing, or a third-party breach, an attacker could attempt to use that access to gain entry to connected systems. The one-time verification step prevents this by confirming that the person linking the account actually controls both the SSO credentials and the Vueterix account.
This approach is standard for platforms handling regulated financial data. For appraisal review workflows where compliance and data integrity are non-negotiable, the one-time verification step provides an additional layer of protection against unauthorized access.
After the initial verification, the SSO login is seamless. Users can choose whichever authentication method works best for their workflow.
Hybrid Authentication Support
Vueterix accounts now support multiple authentication paths:
1. Username and password
Standard authentication for users who prefer direct credentials or work in environments without SSO infrastructure.
2. Microsoft 365 Single Sign-On
For teams using Office 365, Teams, or Azure Active Directory for identity management.
3. Google Workspace Single Sign-On
For organizations managing authentication through Google Workspace.
Users aren’t locked into one method. An account can support both password-based login and SSO, giving flexibility for different access scenarios or organizational changes.
Responsible AI Includes Responsible Security
Our focus on Responsible AI extends beyond how algorithms handle appraisal data. It includes how we protect access to that data in the first place. USPAP compliance, lender QC requirements, and fiduciary responsibility all depend on maintaining strong controls around who can view, modify, or approve appraisal reports.
SSO integration makes authentication easier for users while the account linking verification maintains the security posture required in this industry. That balance matters when the work involves property valuations, loan decisions, and regulatory oversight.
This update is available now for all Vueterix users. No action is required unless you want to enable SSO for your account. The “Continue with Microsoft” and “Continue with Google” options will appear on the login page for anyone who wants to use them.
More platform updates are coming as we continue building tools that balance accessibility, security, and the regulatory requirements our clients operate within.
