Marc Lewis

Co-Founder & Chief Software Architect

Marc Lewis is a senior software architect and systems engineer with more than three decades of experience building reliable, scalable platforms. He began writing software as a teenager and spent the early part of his career working in various development and engineering roles before launching his own companies.

In 1994, Marc founded and operated a regional Internet service provider in Washington State. Because the commercial tooling ecosystem was still immature, he built much of the company’s operational software in-house, including automation utilities and a full customer care and accounting system. This experience shaped his long-term focus on reliability, simplicity, and system architecture.

As Co-Founder and Chief Software Architect at Vueterix, Marc designs the technical foundation that supports modern appraisal workflows, structured QC processes, and the careful integration of AI where it improves clarity and efficiency. He also leads Caffeinated Softworks, a technology consulting and holding company that supports several ventures, including dittos.io and CallSphere. His background spans distributed systems, automation, AI-assisted analysis, and cloud-native architectures, with a focus on practical solutions for regulated industries.

Work History & Focus

Marc’s work has spanned a wide range of technical environments, from low-level systems development to modern cloud-native platforms. He has led engineering efforts across communication systems, large-scale data processing, distributed architectures, and the automation of complex business workflows.

At Vueterix, Marc focuses on designing systems that are clear, maintainable, and capable of supporting the operational demands of appraisal review. His approach emphasizes predictable behavior, explainable logic, and the careful use of automation to support reviewers without replacing their judgment.
Through Caffeinated Softworks, he continues to architect solutions for organizations that depend on long-term stability and practical, incremental modernization.

Over the years, Marc has founded or contributed to projects including the collaborative platform dittos.io and the commercial VoIP platform CallSphere. The breadth of these experiences shapes the engineering principles he brings to Vueterix: simplicity where possible, transparency where necessary, and software designed to stand up to real-world use.
